We are grateful for the continued interest in the projects made possible by the 2026 bond.

This article is just a reminder that major, bond-funded, construction projects do not happen overnight. After voters approve a bond, there is a long and significant process that must occur before construction begins, including bond financing, architectural and engineering work, design development, determining final project scope, preparing bid documents, bidding and awarding contracts, ordering equipment and materials, and coordinating construction around school operations.

In other words, progress isn’t always visible from the parking lot. A great deal of work happens behind the scenes before the first piece of equipment arrives on site. Our HVAC improvements are substantial projects and are expected to occur over approximately a one-to-two-year period as we move through design, bidding, scheduling, and construction.

We also want to remind our community that ECPS has a dedicated 2026 Bond Transparency page on our website, where updates are posted throughout the process, and have been posted every month since the passage of the bond. We encourage anyone with questions about the status of the bond projects to follow the information directly from the District:
