🎭👏 A standing ovation for our Eau Claire High School Theatre students!
Today marked a HUGE milestone as our students brought Romy and Julie: A Social Media Tragedy to life — the first theatrical performance at Eau Claire Public Schools since 2017!
Even more exciting, this incredible production was written by our very own ELA teacher, David Staggs, who also served as Play Director, alongside assistant director and fellow ELA teacher, Heather Brumley. Together with a talented cast and stage crew of 13 students, they delivered FIVE outstanding acts across three performances for students, families, and community members.
The energy, creativity, humor, and heart on display today reminded us just how powerful the arts can be in bringing people together. 🎬✨
And this is only the beginning… stay tuned for more from our growing drama department because today was the first of many performances to come!
At EC, our Beavers are truly BUILDING BELIEF and BELONGING! 💙🦫

DeFay's Catering and On The Spot BBQ are hosting a free community dinner on Thursday, May 21st. All are welcome, but RSVPs are necessary. See the flyer for more details. GO BEAVERS!!

Mr. Heil's woodworking students earned first place in the annual Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society student project competition. It was held at the Oakland Expo Center and they entered their project-mass production of wooden pens in the applied technology division. Next year it will be held in Kalamazoo, and Mr. Heil thinks they should build a boat and enter it in the open division! Congratulations, woodworkers ~ Beavers Building, Believing & Belonging!

As we wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate our School Counselors who work tirelessly to support all students. Whether is teaching Social-Emotional skills, celebrating great days, or helping to prepare for college - these guys support Beavers of all ages in an amazing way. We also celebrate our School Custodians whose work keeps our schools in tip top shape day after day. Our Athletic Department helps guide our Beaver Athletes on and off the field and our SRO helps ensure everyone is safe at all hours.
The Beaver Family is comprised of so many amazing teachers, working together to bring out the greatness in one another, and in every student! It's an honor to work with each one of them - and they are greatly appreciated!

As we continue to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate our High School Teachers. These teachers must be masters of their content area, as they prepare students for the not-so-distant future. Their need to support students who are transitioning to adulthood makes teaching this grade level unique. We also celebrate the School Secretaries who are too often taken for granted as they 'hold down the fort.' These amazing ladies are the face and voice of the building. They support staff, students, administrators, and families in a fast-paced environment... and always with a smile! Lastly, we celebrate the paraprofessionals who provide behavioral and academic support. They are monitoring recess and lunch, hallways, and classrooms. Their flexibly and willingness to do whatever it takes is second to none!
We appreciate these amazing team members, this week - and always!

We continue to show our appreciation to the teachers of Eau Claire by celebrating our Middle School teachers. Middle School is a time of great transition for students, bringing unique challenges. Middle School teachers guide and direct these students while continuing to develop their skills in all subject areas.
Another amazing team is our Special Pops Team: our Special Education Director and her team of Rock Star teachers, as well as our ESL team ensure that every student's individual needs are met.

Our students loved sharing their hard work and passion, and it wouldn’t have been the same without such an amazing community behind them.
We’re already looking forward to the next one—thank you for helping us build, believe, and belong! 🦫✨
