High school students Rylan Fisher & Hannah Johnson, and middle school student Brooklyn Valentine were honored this morning at the Berrien Springs/Eau Claire Rotary Youth Appreciation Breakfast. Students were selected based on the Rotary's 4-way test of the things we think, say, and do: 1) Is it the TRUTH? 2) Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3) Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? Congratulations! Beavers BUILD, Beavers BELIEVE, Beavers BELONG.

Please note: Unfortunately, a recent social media post has circulated that contains inaccurate and misleading claims about Eau Claire Public Schools, our bond proposal, and district operations. We want to assure our community that: •    No district funds were used for “hang gliding” or personal recreation. Our administrative team participated in a team-building experience designed to strengthen communication and leadership,  a normal and professional development expense that has been happening for over past 10 years. •    All bond project plans are fully documented, audited, and transparent. The proposed bond would fund essential facility upgrades, safety improvements, and instructional environment enhancements — not items already completed or unrelated to student learning. •    All financial records — including federal relief funds — are audited annually by an independent firm and are publicly available. Anyone may review those reports through the district office. It’s unfortunate when misinformation is spread online, especially by individuals who may have personal grievances or incomplete information. However, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, and respectful dialogue. We encourage every community member to see for themselves!   •    Review our public audits, board minutes, and bond FAQ on our website. •    Reach out directly if you have questions — we’ll always provide the facts. We’re proud of the progress Eau Claire Public Schools is making and thankful for a community that continues to support our students and staff. Together, Beavers Build, Beavers Belong, and Beavers Believe, and that’s something worth standing up for.
